Alana Eve Murri, passed away on Friday, April 3rd, 2020 at the age of 16 at Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora.
Alana was born Davelyn Shirley Ann U'ihukulani Torres on April 22, 2003 in Honolulu, HI and was adopted by her parents, Ryan Murri and Karri Minks, on May 12, 2005. Alana was a beautiful and sweet child who was very strongly connected to her Hawaiian roots. She loved to play the ukulele, swim in the ocean, and eat Spam and kalua pork. She always dreamed of returning to her island home.
Alana was a skater girl and spent many hours with her friends at the skate park learning new tricks. She was adventurous and fearless and never gave up when she wanted to learn something. She loved art and she made beautiful drawings and paintings for her family and friends. She enjoyed listening to music, reading, taking selfies, making videos and being outside. She was an enigmatic and interesting young woman who appreciated the world around her.
Alana is survived by her parents, Ryan Murri and Karri Minks, step-parents, Deanna Murri and Ares Minks, step-siblings, Ani, Aina, Aleck, and Abram, and grandparents Kent Murri, Joaquin Villanueva, and Pura Fitzgerald. A memorial service will be planned for summer in Hawaii, which will be her final resting place.
